Dugsi organization aims to empower youth and women in Somalia by hosting forums focused on enhancing their lives and leveraging opportunities from both private and governmental projects. We organize leadership workshops and mentorship programs, advocating for job opportunities and facilitating vocational training to equip youth with essential skills. Skill-building seminars on entrepreneurship and small business management are conducted to foster economic self-reliance. Additionally, we foster knowledge exchange among experts, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and community members, advocating for policies that support investment, entrepreneurship, and job creation, while facilitating networking among businesses, investors, and agencies to address challenges hindering economic development.

Research and Policy Institute
Dugsi's Research and Policy Institute is dedicated to enhancing stability and progress in Somalia through rigorous research and informed policy recommendations. Our institute focuses on improving Somalia's overall well-being by conducting comprehensive studies on socio-economic, political, and cultural dimensions. We provide evidence-based recommendations for development strategies based on our research findings. Collaborating with partners, we strengthen research capacity and foster knowledge exchange within and beyond Somalia. Serving as a central hub for dialogue and informed decision-making, our institute plays a pivotal role in shaping policies that contribute to the nation's advancement.
Security and Reconciliation Initiatives
Dugsi's Security and Reconciliation Initiatives focus on addressing conflict root causes and promoting peace-building efforts in Somalia. We conduct research to identify underlying issues and provide policy recommendations for sustainable solutions. Our initiatives include organizing peace dialogues involving clan and regional leaders, mobilizing resources for disarming militias, and rehabilitating combatants. We collaborate with diaspora and international bodies to facilitate conflict resolution and establish truth commissions to address past injustices. Through community projects and support for local governance, we tackle conflict roots and facilitate clan dialogues for reconciliation. Additionally, we support peace initiatives led by elders and religious leaders, while advocating for government investment in education and healthcare in conflict zones, with a focus on vulnerable populations.
